Footprints left behind you, are the sacrifices and memories left from a mom caring for her children and the sacrifices that she makes. We all have footprints, the question is what type of footprint are you leaving.

A Poem was written By May Stevenson in 1936 called Footprints in the Sand. Its a religious poem that talks about God and a man walking on a beach. The man sees their footprints behind them. The poem goes on with the man asking God why at times there is only one set of prints. Like God had abandoned him. My favorite line in the poem goes “My child, it was then that I carried you”.
This poem is my whole reason for starting Footprints mom. We forget sometimes that we get carried by God and he uses parents, Friends, and family to help carry you through each valley and mountain. Never underestimate a friend or family member offering a hand for help. That could be God’s hand picking you up to carry you through something.
Becoming a Christian doesn’t mean nothing bad happens to you. God never says your life will be easier as a born again Christian. He said you will not go through life alone. It means a father, friend, and shoulder to lean on. It means the valleys and mountains in your life will not be done alone.
This is the same for us as parents. We help and guide our kids as we teach them right from wrong. We give them memories to take with them as they get older. We pass on what we have been taught and the memories we have in hopes that our kids pass it on to their kids. I can only pray that my kids remember what I have taught them.
It is so rewording to watch your kids grow up and see them passing on what they have learned. I can’t what to watch this with my grandkids one day.
Leave you past behind you. Focus on today and let God bring tomorrow to you. Always remember as a Christian you are not alone. If you are not a believer or you are unsure. Please don’t hesitate to reach out.
May God bless you and your footprints in your sand.
