As you know, traveling or doing something with kids can be expensive let alone doing it as a single parent. This blog is just one of our family outings with full of Grandmas love.
In September of 2014, with grandma and uncle Steve’s help, we had the opportunity to go to Niagara Falls and Marineland. This was a special treat as we would have never been able to do it on our own. As a birthday gift to the boys we planed a weekend away of new adventures.
Ages 7 and 8, the boys walked through Niagara Falls for the first time with wide eyes. We got a pass that included the Bird and butterfly sanctuary. Watched glass blowing and went to the Ripley’s wax museum. Oh and can’t forget the 4D ride. But the best part was taking them to the Falls at night to see the lights on the water.
Our hotel was thanks to my brother Steve and Marineland was thanks to my mom. As an adult it wasn’t what I remembered but the boys loved it. There favorite part of Marineland was the Beluga Whales. They got to pet them, which was the highlight of the day. They loved the Marian show with the dolphins showing off their stuff and splashing everyone. Lots of laughs for the boys and joy for mom and grandma as we watched the boys enjoy it all. .
Without the love and support of family our adventures would never exist. Thank you mom (Grandma) and Steve and Trish (best uncle and aunt ever) for all your love and support to the boys and I. We love you all so much.
Keep posted for other adventures like Canada’s Wonderland and Toby Mac consort.
